Our smaller scale 30 or 45 minute series of fun and exciting science
demonstrations that can be held in a classroom, library, meeting
room, multi-purpose rooom or other smaller space. While our Rockin' Science full programs
(Aurora and Callisto) feature
music, motion graphics, movies and sound effects as part of the
choreographed programs, Rockin' Science Lite is
an excellent smaller scale program featuring great science
demonstrations but without music or motion graphics.

Rockin' Science Lite features both larger and smaller scale demonstrations that work well with a
smaller group as well as great demonstrations that are not usually performed in our
full Aurora and Callisto
programs.

This program is customized for specific groups or time
constraints, and is a good choice for smaller groups
or those with limited assembly budgets!

As with our Aurora and Callisto programs, two smaller groups are better
than one large group, and we charge only a nominal fee to
add a second show. Many organizations choose to break students
up into a younger group and an older group; K-2 and 3-5 are
a very common arrangement. We do basically the same program
for both groups, with simplified explanations and a little
slower pace for the younger group.
Public libraries, Cub Scouts, church groups or
after-school science clubs (among others) are often mixed ages and
our program will be
designed to reach them all.

Several children participate in each program (usually 14 children will be brought up to
the front to directly help in a 45 minute Rockin' Science Lite
program, but each program has a custom set-list).

Rockin' Science Lite is meant
to get kids excited about science, but we are also experts
in "crowd management". While discipline is ultimately up to
the teachers (or other adults in charge) we keep the
children under control and
quiet when we need them to be.

A typical Rockin' Science Lite 45 minute program (14
kids help out):
•General
Safety Discussion
•Red, White and Blue (chemical reaction - color changes)
•Blue Bottle (oxidation reduction)
•Giant Gas Bags (chemical reaction - exothermic)
•Marker Drop (inertia)
•Blue Bottle revisited (blue or clear!?)
•Disappearing Water (chemical reaction - super polymer)
•Burning Money (combustion)
•Whoosh Bottle (combustion)
•Whoosh Tube (combustion)
•Blue Bottle revisited
(blue or clear!?)
•Human Shrink Wrap (air pressure)
•Atmospheric Pressure
Resistance Devices (air pressure)
•Levitation
(air pressure - Bernoulli's principle)
•Indigestion (chemical reaction - color changes)
•Blue Bottle revisited
(oxidation Reduction)
•Glowing Pickle (electro-chemical)
